The Sahel Malaria Elimination Initiative (SaME) is a coalition of eight countries in the Sahel sub-region – Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Chad, Gambia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, and Senegal – working collaboratively to accelerate efforts towards malaria elimination in the sub-region by 2030.
GLIDE, working with the African Malaria Leaders Alliance (ALMA), is supporting this regional platform which aims to consolidate regional and cross-border efforts to scale up and sustain effective malaria interventions, keep malaria high on the regional and country agenda, strengthen accountability and action for progress, and mobilize resources for elimination.
