In 2024, GLIDE hosted its first Symposium to convene strategic partners working in preventable infectious disease elimination and eradication from an array of backgrounds.
The theme of the 2024 Symposium was Integrated Approaches to Disease Elimination, highlighting the importance of exploring opportunities for integration when there is a rationale for it, focused on disease elimination and eradication initiatives. The Symposium also featured “Flash Talks” from the winners of the 2022 and 2023 Falcon Awards for Disease Elimination.
