In partnership with WHO EMRO, this project aims to understand the ecological extents of anopheline vectors of malaria in the Eastern Mediterranean region and historical prevalence of malaria infection.
The result will be enhanced understanding of the receptive risks for the possible re-introduction of malaria across the region through building geo-coded inventories of, multi-year malaria data, and historical community surveys of malaria infection to understand the intensity of malaria transmission pre-elimination.
