Anderson E. Stanciole has over 20 years of international experience in health economics and financing, working with governments, multilateral agencies, and global health partnerships. He joined GLIDE in 2025, where he leads strategic performance, ensuring portfolio integration with organizational goals, overseeing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and advising on sustainable financing strategies for disease elimination.
Previously, he served as Advisor to the Chairman on Health Financing at the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, leading initiatives to strengthen the sector’s financial sustainability, including COVID-19 modelling, cost-effectiveness analyses, and the Partnership for Health System Sustainability and Resilience (PHSSR). Earlier roles include senior technical and leadership positions at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the United Nations Population Fund, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank, and the World Health Organization.
Dr. Stanciole holds a PhD in Economics from the University of York, has authored numerous publications on health economics and the economic impact of diseases, and speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French.
