Incentives for Disease Elimination
Together with the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), GLIDE is collating an inventory of incentives and incentivisation strategies used in the health, private and agricultural sectors, with a view to apply them to the disease elimination context.
First phase of incentives for disease elimination
The first phase of this research project consists of an extensive literature review with a focus on community health workers that deliver elimination interventions to their communities. This initial phase will document the role of incentives for disease elimination at sub-national level and lessons learned from programmes that successfully implemented incentive strategies.
Second phase of incentives for disease elimination
The second phase entails targeted key informant interviews from other sectors. Identifying incentive strategies will help inform what might be applied to the disease elimination context, with a strong focus on community health workers and their programmes.
