- Expert Roundtable: Advancing Regional Progress on Cervical Cancer Elimination | Tuesday, 15 April 2025 | 3:00 – 5:00 pm | ADNEC – Capital Suite 7
Dr Farida Al Hosani, GLIDE’s Deputy CEO, will join an expert roundtable to discuss elimination efforts and progress towards ending Cervical Cancer. This MSD-sponsored expert roundtable will bring together policymakers, civil society organizations, and regional public health leaders to accelerate the progress on cervical cancer elimination in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR). With cervical cancer being one of the major public health burdens, especially in EMR countries, this session will focus on advancing HPV vaccination, cervical cancer screening, and regional cooperation to achieve the WHO’s 90-70-90 elimination goals by 2030. Key objectives include sharing best practices, strengthening political commitments, and fostering partnerships to ensure effective action in tackling this preventable disease.
