Abu Dhabi Global Health Week is expected to serve as a key platform for promoting collaboration, cooperation, technological innovation, and sustainability, positioning Abu Dhabi as a prominent destination for health and wellness and a key player in the global healthcare conversation.

  • Expert Roundtable: Advancing Regional Progress on Cervical Cancer Elimination | Tuesday, 15 April 2025 | 3:00 – 5:00 pm | ADNEC – Capital Suite 7
    Dr Farida Al Hosani, GLIDE’s Deputy CEO, will join an expert roundtable to discuss elimination efforts and progress towards ending Cervical Cancer. This MSD-sponsored expert roundtable will bring together policymakers, civil society organizations, and regional public health leaders to accelerate the progress on cervical cancer elimination in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR). With cervical cancer being one of the major public health burdens, especially in EMR countries, this session will focus on advancing HPV vaccination, cervical cancer screening, and regional cooperation to achieve the WHO’s 90-70-90 elimination goals by 2030. Key objectives include sharing best practices, strengthening political commitments, and fostering partnerships to ensure effective action in tackling this preventable disease. Emerging streams—ranging from mobility and environmental data to wearables, social media, and global travel patterns—are opening new possibilities for early detection and real-time intervention. When integrated with AI and advanced analytics, these tools offer powerful insights into population health trends, particularly in resource-limited settings. This session will explore how innovative approaches to data collection and interpretation are reshaping global health intelligence, and what it will take to ensure these advances are equitable, secure, and scalable.

    Dr Farida Al Hosani, GLIDE’s Deputy CEO, will join the panel hosted by M42 Health with the focus on AI use for Infectious Disease Surveillance and Eradication.
