18 December 2021 – In early November, GLIDE hosted a roundtable event together with the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN in Geneva and the Permanent Mission of the UAE to the UN in New York. The subject of the debate was how best to turn the rhetoric around needing more country-led development, which we’ve seen in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, into concrete policies.
This was the first in a series of GLIDE Labs events, in which we’ll be convening diverse voices to take a fresh look at pressing global health challenges. We are pleased to share here an edited recording of the conversation, which was hosted by GLIDE’s CEO Simon Bland.
You can listen to the event recording via Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
The event featured a discussion between the following global health experts who all advocate for broader country representation within their own institutions as well in the global health architecture.
